18 debates, more than 80 experts and over 40 partners – this is how the 12th Mazovia Development Forum will look like 2022/11/06

The 12th Mazovia Development Forum, the most important event dedicated to the role of the European Union in the development of the region, will take place on December 6-7. It will be two days filled with debates, workshops, simulations and discussions with the participation of more than 80 experts and over 40 partners representing administration, business, scientific and non-governmental sectors. For the first time, students are also invited to participate in the event due to the European Year of Youth, which is currently being celebrated. Participation in the event will be free of charge. What will be happening at the 12th Mazovia Development Forum?

Debates, presentations, simulations and consultations organized within three thematic areas – the Mazovia Development, the Health and the Youth Area – will await the participants of the event. During the debates taking place on the main stage, we will talk about, among other things:

• What opportunities will the European Funds for 2021-2027 bring?
• What are the needs of local governments, the challenges and the effects of assistance from the European Union so far?
• What are the trends and needs in patient treatment and diagnostics?
• How to manage urban development taking care of the environment and efficient use of natural resources?
• How to increase the competitiveness of the economy through the implementation of innovative projects and cooperation between business with science?
• What can we do to take care of the mental health of children and young people?
• Is sustainability an opportunity or a barrier for tourism development?
• How to approach the creation of e-services to increase the availability of services and make life easier for residents?

There will also be something for students, as well as those working with them – teachers, employees of cultural institutions, schools, universities, or NGOs. Especially for them there will be a Youth Area, where we will talk about:

• Does Generation Z want to be leaders?
• How can young people get involved in local affairs and influence the shape of local communities?\
• Does the university have the chance to become a school of entrepreneurship?
• How do we support beginners in business?
• What can we do for the Planet on a daily basis?
• How can academic innovation support nutrition health and cancer therapy?
• What can you do to get the most out of your study abroad opportunities?
• How to protect your data from online theft?
• What are the challenges of volunteering and professional helping?
• How to use innovation in education wisely?

In addition to the debates, an interactive exhibition and networking space co-created by more than 40 partners of the event will be waiting for the participants! There will be workshops, presentations, simulations and small group discussions. Each participant will also be able to take advantage of a wide range of health services – hearing, taste, smell, sugar level tests, massage or talk about mental health and stress management.

The Forum will also feature the final of a special contest Leader of Change – Healthcare Leader, organized under the honorary patronages of the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship and the European Commission Representation in Poland. The results of the competition will be decided by the residents themselves during the online voting, which takes place via www.liderzmian.eu. We invite you to cast your votes in the categories: Fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, Diagnosis and treatment of patients, Prevention and health programs, and Innovation.
